A newly revealed email suggests Prince Andrew maintained contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2011, shortly after a widely circulated photograph of the prince with Virginia Giuffre emerged.

The email, reportedly sent on February 28, 2011, shows Andrew writing to Epstein: “Don’t worry about me! It would seem we are in this together and will have to rise above it.” He signed the message “A, HRH The Duke of York, KG,” referencing his knighthood in the Order of the Garter.

The note was sent just one day after the infamous picture of Andrew with Giuffre, who later accused Epstein of trafficking her to have sex with the prince when she was 17. Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing. In 2022, he settled a civil case with Giuffre for a reported $13 million without admitting liability.

The email contrasts with Andrew’s previous statements claiming he had severed ties with Epstein in December 2010. Epstein, who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, had long maintained a close association with Andrew.

This revelation follows the recent publication of another 2011 email from Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in which she praised Epstein as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend” despite later expressing regret for associating with him.

The new email adds to ongoing scrutiny of Andrew’s past relationship with Epstein as interest resurfaces ahead of the posthumous release of Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, scheduled for later this month.
