Pocket FM, an India-based audio platform, is using AI tools to quickly grow its content catalog.

The platform has over 200,000 hours of content but aims to offer more original shows in various genres. CEO Rohan Nayak sees AI as the key to expanding the library with faster production and lower costs.

In collaboration with ElevenLabs, the platform has made production 5x faster and 30x cheaper. AI also adapts stories for different regions by addressing cultural nuances.

For writers, an AI creative assistant offers plot suggestions based on user data, with a focus on helping solo writers brainstorm ideas.

Pocket FM is also developing a blockbuster engine to predict hit shows. Despite producing over 40,000 AI-assisted series and generating $3 million in revenue, the platform faces the challenge of maintaining content quality while speeding up production.

With $197 million in funding, Pocket FM competes with platforms like Audible and Kuku FM.
