Popular Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti has made history with his highly-anticipated third album, MUSIC, which dropped on March 14, 2025.
The album quickly became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day this year, marking a major milestone in Carti’s career.
A Star-Studded Comeback
The 30-track album features big names like Travis Scott, Future, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Skepta, and Ty Dolla $ign.
The project also boasts production from top producers like Metro Boomin, Southside, Cardo, Ye, and F1lthy.
Leading up to the release, Carti built hype with the single “All Red,” which reached No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
He also teased fans with tracks like “2024,” “BACKR00MS” (featuring Travis Scott), and “Lose You” (with The Weeknd) during his Rolling Loud Miami performance in late 2024.

Spotify supported the album rollout with billboards in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, with messages like “STREETS READY” and “SORRY4 DA WAIT.”
The streaming giant officially confirmed the record-breaking achievement on March 15, stating, “Carti’s MUSIC is already making history.”
Continuing His Legacy
MUSIC comes five years after Carti’s last album, Whole Lotta Red, which topped the Billboard 200 and became a cultural phenomenon.
