Pixel Users Want a Quick 10x Zoom Button, But Google Isn’t Listening

Google’s Pixel phones offer impressive 10x zoom, but getting to it is a frustrating experience.

Despite having a capable 5x telephoto lens that can crop out a 10x shot without losing quality, Google has not added a dedicated button for this zoom in the Camera app.

Since the Pixel 7 series, users have been asking for an easy way to access 10x zoom, but even with the Pixel 8 and 9 series, it remains hidden behind pinch gestures.

This makes it difficult for users to dial in the exact zoom level, often leading to imprecise shots.

The frustration grows when you compare it to other phones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has a simple 10x zoom button.

Google’s lack of this feature means many Pixel users don’t even know they can use 10x zoom without losing quality.

Adding a 10x zoom button should be an easy fix, but after three years, it seems like Google is still ignoring this issue.

While the company has made some improvements, like bringing back brightness and shadow sliders, it’s unclear if the 10x zoom button will ever be added.
