Patch 2.3 Could Make Cyberpunk 2077’s Switch 2 Debut Its Best Yet

Cyberpunk 2077 launched on the new Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025, bringing the full experience—with all expansions and visual upgrades—to a Nintendo system for the first time.

Unlike past releases, Switch 2 players are getting a polished game from day one, free of the bugs and issues that once defined Cyberpunk’s early reputation.

The timing of this release is even better thanks to the upcoming Patch 2.3. Though CD Projekt Red recently delayed the patch to ensure extra polish, its arrival is set to be perfectly timed for new Switch 2 players who are just finishing their first playthroughs.

Previous updates, like 2024’s Patch 2.2, added hundreds of new features, customization options, and bug fixes. Patch 2.3 aims to bring a similar level of improvements and fresh content.

For Switch 2 players, this delay is a bonus, not a setback. Most will reach the game’s endgame just as Patch 2.3 launches—meaning new features and surprise content will hit at exactly the right moment. While PC and Xbox/PlayStation veterans might see it as another delay, for Switch 2 owners, it may feel like a timely expansion rather than just another fix.

Unlike players on other platforms, Switch 2 users are coming to Night City with a clean slate. They avoid older issues and get to enjoy the game as it continues to evolve during their first months.

Patch 2.3 will bring new customization, perks, and interface tweaks right when they’re most welcome—positioning the Switch 2 version as a true next chapter for Cyberpunk 2077 and its redemption story.

CD Projekt Red has not announced an exact release date for Patch 2.3, but based on past updates, it is likely to arrive by the end of 2025.
