A new leak about the OnePlus Open 2, the successor to the 2023 OnePlus Open, suggests several key upgrades and a refined design.
The foldable phone is expected to feature enhanced water resistance, new cameras, wireless charging, and a significantly larger battery.
According to the leak from SmartPrix, the OnePlus Open 2 will maintain a similar design to its predecessor, with a smaller camera module and more rounded edges on the back.
The inner display remains an 8-inch panel, while the cover display is 6.4 inches. The device is said to be larger but thinner than the original, measuring under 10mm.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Open 2 will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The rear camera setup will feature three 50MP sensors, while the selfie cameras will include a 32MP and a 20MP sensor.
The device will come with a 5,900mAh battery, supporting 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to launch in early 2025, possibly around March, with speculation pointing to a debut at MWC 2025, potentially alongside a new OnePlus Watch.
