One UI 7 Brings Faster Fingerprint Unlocking to Galaxy S24 Models

Samsung is currently beta testing One UI 7, based on Android 15, ahead of the official launch of the Galaxy S25 series on January 22.

Following this, the update is expected to roll out to older models, starting with the Galaxy S24 family.

A new leak from Ice Universe reveals that the Galaxy S24 models will feature improved fingerprint unlocking speed.

The devices already use ultrasonic sensors, which are faster and more reliable than optical sensors, especially when hands are wet.

However, previous software hiccups in One UI sometimes caused slower unlocking speeds.

With One UI 7, Samsung has fine-tuned the animations, making the unlocking process noticeably faster.

The improved unlocking experience will be part of the upcoming One UI 7 beta, which is expected to drop soon.
