Nvidia is gearing up for its earnings report on February 26, and investors remain optimistic despite some market concerns. The AI chip giant has seen its stock rebound about 23% from early February lows, but analysts are split on its near-term outlook.
Loop Capital analyst Ananda Baruah remains bullish, calling Nvidia’s long-term prospects “spectacular.” He reaffirmed a $175 price target, suggesting a 25% upside, citing strong demand for Nvidia GPUs as hyperscalers move toward non-CPU computing.
With AI and accelerated computing representing trillion-dollar market opportunities, Baruah believes Nvidia is just getting started. However, concerns have surfaced. China-based DeepSeek recently demonstrated that high-performance AI models can be trained at a fraction of previous costs, challenging assumptions about AI infrastructure spending.
Additionally, delays in Nvidia’s upcoming Blackwell chip and potential declines in Hopper GPU sales could impact short-term results. BofA analyst Vivek Arya predicts a “modest fourth-quarter beat” but warns that the first-quarter outlook may face headwinds.
Despite possible volatility after earnings, Arya expects Nvidia’s momentum to continue, with new products like GB300 and Rubin, along with expansion into robotics and quantum computing. His aggressive price target stands at $190.
With Nvidia’s earnings report approaching, investors remain watchful, balancing short-term risks with long-term growth potential.
