NVIDIA RTX 5090 Prototype Leaks with Four 16-Pin Power Connectors

A prototype of NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card has leaked online, revealing a unique design featuring four 16-pin power connectors.

This early engineering board clearly shows components and connectors not meant for retail, indicating it is a preproduction unit used for testing and software development.

The card’s design is unusual, with doubled voltage regulator modules (VRMs) on one side and a total of four 16-pin power connectors.

This setup could theoretically provide up to 2400 watts of power, if the VRM can handle that much. The prototype also has five display outputs, which is uncommon but likely intended for extensive testing.

Since this is an early prototype, it’s unclear if this card will closely match the final RTX 5090 or if it could be related to NVIDIA’s rumored PRO Blackwell GPU or even a future TITAN model. The leaked card is damaged and likely beyond repair, as repairing such complex multilayer PCBs is very difficult.

Overall, this leak gives a rare glimpse into NVIDIA’s advanced hardware testing phase, hinting at the massive power requirements and potential performance of future high-end GPUs.
