Kendrick Lamar’s hit single “Not Like Us” has officially reached a significant milestone, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify.

Released in May 2024, the track gained widespread acclaim and topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two nonconsecutive weeks. It also symbolized the end of Lamar’s highly publicized feud with Drake, further solidifying its cultural impact.

The achievement comes as Lamar gears up for an eventful 2025. He is set to headline the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on February 9 in New Orleans, where he aims to showcase the continued dominance of rap music.

“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,” Lamar said in a statement. “And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”

In addition to his Super Bowl performance, Lamar is nominated for seven Grammy Awards at the 2025 ceremony. “Not Like Us” is up for record of the year, song of the year, best music video, best rap performance, and best rap song.

His collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin, “Like That,” is also nominated for best rap song and best rap performance.

Lamar’s sixth studio album, GNX, released in November 2024, continues to garner praise. The 12-track project features collaborations with SZA, Kamasi Washington, Roddy Ricch, and others, further cementing Lamar’s influence in the music industry.

As “Not Like Us” continues to dominate streaming platforms, Kendrick Lamar’s legacy as a leading figure in hip-hop remains undisputed.
