A new leak suggests that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on March 28, 2025.
This leak comes from the Italian website UAGNA, which claims that both first-party and third-party accessories for the console will go on sale that day.
This timing makes sense because it is unlikely that Nintendo would release accessories without the console being available.
While this leak should be taken with caution, it matches previous rumors that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be announced in January 2025 and released in late March.
This shorter lead time between announcement and release is unusual for Nintendo, as the original Switch was announced in October 2016 and released in March 2017, a gap of over four months.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is also expected to offer better power compared to the current Switch, which has PS3-level graphics.
According to leaks, the new console may have power similar to the PS4 Pro, though this will only apply when the console is docked. In handheld mode, it may offer performance closer to a base PS4.
