Takeuchi said he is very honored to play Kiryu, who is a beloved character from the games. He promises intense fight scenes showing Kiryu’s dragon tattoo on his back.

Director Take said he put his heart and 35 years of experience into making the show. He says the talented team worked very hard to bring the story to life as an exciting series.

The head of Amazon’s international original shows said Japanese content is becoming more and more popular worldwide. He thinks adapting the popular Yakuza game into a show will be very appealing.

The producer from the Yakuza game studio said while remaking a finished game is hard, this new show will bring the world of Yakuza to life in an objective way that fans and new audiences will enjoy.
