Spotify has just introduced a new feature called Snooze, letting users take a 30-day break from overplayed songs in their playlists. If you’re tired of hearing the same tracks on repeat, this is a game changer.
With Snooze, you can temporarily mute songs you’ve heard too often. The skipped track won’t appear in your recommendations or auto-generated playlists for a full month—a short break to refresh your music feed, as Spotify describes it.
Alongside Snooze, Spotify has improved its queue and playback controls. Users can now more easily access and manage Shuffle, Smart Shuffle, Repeat, and the Sleep Timer, making it simpler to customize their listening sessions.
Spotify has also upgraded the Hider feature. Now, hiding a song on one device will hide it across all connected devices, giving a more seamless experience across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
These enhancements, aimed at improving personalization and reducing repetition, are currently rolling out to Premium subscribers first, but are expected to reach more users soon.
