The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to come with a price hike, as confirmed by a recent report from South Korea.

Earlier leaks from European retailer listings hinted at increased prices for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, though the initial figures seemed unusual.

The new report suggests that rising component costs and unfavorable exchange rates have forced Samsung to increase prices despite its initial intention to maintain last year’s pricing.

One significant factor contributing to the higher costs is the global use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which has reportedly driven up the bill of materials for the Galaxy S25 series.

While the report primarily focuses on the Korean market, it implies that similar price increases could extend to other regions, though this remains uncertain.

Samsung is positioning its more affordable options, such as the Galaxy A series and the Galaxy S24 FE, as alternatives for customers who might find the new flagship prices out of reach.

This strategy highlights Samsung’s efforts to cater to a broader audience amidst the rising costs of premium devices.
