Nacon and Midgar Studio have announced Edge of Memories, a new JRPG set in the Edge of Eternity universe. The game is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
A New Journey in the Edge of Eternity Universe
Set in the world of Heryon, the game follows Eline, a Soul Whisperer, who travels the land using her unique abilities to heal tormented inhabitants.
The story explores deep themes such as exodus, disease, the search for origins, and adapting to an ever-changing world.
Unlike Edge of Eternity, which featured turn-based combat, Edge of Memories introduces a real-time action combat system similar to Tales of Arise.
Players can chain combos, fight alongside two companions, and unlock Eline’s hidden Berserk powers. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5, promising stunning visuals and an immersive experience.

The game features contributions from industry veterans:

- Sawako Natori (NieR) – Writer
- Emi Evans (NieR, NieR: Automata) – Singer

Expected Release and Availability
Midgar Studio has not confirmed an exact release date, but Edge of Memories is expected to launch in Fall 2025. More updates and gameplay details will be revealed in the coming months.
