New Google Play Store Update Adds Bright and Bold Design to Search

Android 16 Colorful Design

Google has started rolling out a new design update called Material 3 Expressive to its Play Store app. This update changes the search menu to a more colorful and vibrant look. The new design is part of Play Store version 46.5.19.

Material 3 Expressive brings bright colors and bold icons to the search screen. This is a big change from the old, simple design, which many found plain and dull. The update makes it easier to see icons clearly and adds more life to the app’s interface.

This design is rolling out slowly to users on Android devices. Google has already added Material 3 Expressive to other apps, such as the Google app and the Clock app. It is expected that more apps will receive this colorful update soon.

Later this year, Material 3 Expressive will also bring dynamic themes to Wear OS, starting with the Pixel Watch.
