New Earthbender Avatar Revealed in First Look at ‘Avatar: Seven Havens’

Avatar: Seven Havens First Look

Nickelodeon has unveiled the first look at Avatar: Seven Havens, a brand-new animated series set after The Legend of Korra. The announcement was made Thursday during the Avatar 20th anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.

The upcoming series continues the Avatar universe and introduces a new Earthbender Avatar — the first since Korra — living in a post-cataclysmic world. Seven Havens follows a pair of Earthbending twins, one of whom discovers she is the new Avatar. But instead of being hailed as a savior, she is seen by many as a threat to humanity.

Set in a fractured world, the young Avatar is hunted by both human and spirit enemies. Alongside her long-lost twin and a group of allies, she must uncover her mysterious past and save the last remaining safe havens before civilization collapses entirely.

The first promotional image shows the new Avatar in a rocky desert, walking with a friend and a creature that appears to be part cat, part lemur — a nod to beloved animal companions from previous Avatar series. A distant city and strange glowing lights in the sky hint at the challenges ahead.

The Comic-Con panel featured appearances from key Avatar voice actors including Janet Varney (Korra), Mae Whitman (Katara), Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), and Dante Basco (Zuko), as well as creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino.

In addition to Seven Havens, fans can also look forward to a new animated film, The Legend of Aang: The Last Avatar, scheduled to release in theaters on October 9, 2026. The film will feature Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Roman Zaragoza as Sokka, and Dionne Quan as Toph, with Steven Yeun and Dave Bautista joining the cast in undisclosed roles.
