Netflix has officially confirmed the release date for the third and final season of its hit show Squid Game. The highly anticipated season will debut on June 27, 2025.
Season 2 of Squid Game aired just a few weeks ago on Christmas Day 2024, leaving fans hanging after a cliffhanger ending.
The second season saw the return of the game’s champion, Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), leading a rebellion against the Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun).
In a press preview on January 29, 2025, Netflix revealed a sneak peek of Season 3. In the clip, players draw red or blue balls from a giant gumball machine, deciding their teams.
Gi-hun is still alive and will once again face deadly challenges. The game’s future remains uncertain, but fans are eager to learn what happens next.
Squid Game is a South Korean series created and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The show became a global sensation after its first season, which remains Netflix’s most-watched series of all time. Season 2 also performed well, ranking as Netflix’s fourth most popular show.
Season 3 will arrive alongside other major Netflix titles, including the final seasons of Stranger Things, You, and Cobra Kai, as well as the second season of Wednesday.
Netflix is gearing up for a strong 2025, following a surge in subscribers at the end of 2024. With this growth, the streaming giant is also raising prices for the first time in over a year.
