Netflix has greenlit a new six-part limited series set in the remote province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The untitled show is created by Jesse McKeown, co-showrunner of The Umbrella Academy, and blends thrilling mystery with family drama.

The story follows a hard-bitten fisherman who must protect his family and community from a mysterious sea creature terrorizing the isolated coastal town.

The series explores community resilience, adaptability, and the struggle to preserve a vanishing way of life.
