My Hero Academia continues to be one of the most popular anime in the world as it nears its final season. According to a report by Parrot Analytics, the show was the sixth most in-demand series globally in Q3 of 2024.
It was also the top anime on the list, beating other popular titles like Sesame Street and Spongebob Squarepants.
The anime’s seventh season aired in May 2024, and the manga ended in August 2024. The final volume of the manga sold over one million copies in its first week, making it the best-selling volume in the series.
Fans loved the epilogue, which jumped eight years into the future to show how the characters’ lives turned out.
Despite the manga ending, My Hero Academia remains popular. The eighth and final season of the anime is expected to release in fall 2025. A sequel anime, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, is also set to premiere in April 2025. This new series will follow a different group of heroes in the same universe.
