Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has finally overtaken its predecessor, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, in worldwide box office earnings.

After seven weeks in theaters, the film has grossed approximately $576.2 million globally, edging past Dead Reckoning’s $571.1 million total.

Despite strong performances and impressive stunts by Tom Cruise, the 2025 installment has faced stiff competition from other blockbusters like F1 and Jurassic World Rebirth.

The film is expected to reach around $600 million by the end of its theatrical run, making it the fourth highest-grossing film in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

So far, The Final Reckoning has earned $191.2 million in North America and $385 million internationally from over 66 countries. However, with an estimated production budget exceeding $400 million, the film has struggled to break even and is considered one of the year’s biggest box office disappointments.

Here is a quick look at the Mission: Impossible franchise’s worldwide box office rankings:

  1. Mission: Impossible – Fallout – $824.2 million
  2. Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – $710.9 million
  3. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol – $694.7 million
  4. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning – $576.2 million
  5. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – $571.1 million

The Final Reckoning was released on 23 May 2025 and is projected to end its run below Ghost Protocol’s $694.7 million haul.
