Microsoft Shuts Down Official Windows Themes Website

Windows 11

Microsoft has announced that it will soon shut down its official website for Windows themes and desktop wallpapers.

The site, which offered downloadable theme packs for Windows 10 and Windows 11, will be closed because it is considered outdated.

The company has not shared an exact date for when the site will be shut down.

Moving to the Microsoft Store

Microsoft is encouraging users to download themes and wallpapers from the Microsoft Store instead.

However, the Microsoft Store does not organize themes as clearly as the old website. On the website, themes were grouped by categories like animals, nature, and more.

The Store does not have this feature, which may make it harder for users to find what they are looking for.
