Meta has created a new free tool called NotebookLlama. This tool changes PDF documents into podcasts. It works in four simple steps and is free for anyone to use.
How NotebookLlama Works:
- First, it cleans up the PDF text
- Then, it turns the text into a podcast script
- Next, it makes the script sound more natural
- Finally, it creates the audio using computer voices
The tool uses AI technology to do its work. It needs powerful computers to run, with at least 140GB of memory for the full version.
Users can find NotebookLlama on GitHub. They need a Hugging Face account to use it.
Early users like that the tool is free and open to everyone. Some say the computer voices could sound better compared to Google’s similar tool, NotebookLM.
Meta plans to improve NotebookLlama by:
- Making the voices sound more natural
- Adding support for websites and YouTube links
- Creating better scripts
- Using stronger AI models
Meta wants developers to help improve the tool and welcomes their contributions.
