Disney and Marvel Studios have announced new release dates for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, pushing both films back from their original schedules.
Avengers: Doomsday will now premiere on December 18, 2026, instead of May 1, 2026. Its sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, has been moved to December 17, 2027, from the previously planned May 7, 2027.
Along with these delays, Disney removed several untitled Marvel projects from its release calendar.
These included a film initially set for February 13, 2026, and two untitled Marvel projects scheduled for November 6, 2026, and November 5, 2027. Those November projects have now been renamed as untitled Disney films without Marvel branding.
For 2026, only Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday and Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day remain confirmed as MCU films.
Fans will need to adjust their expectations as Marvel reshapes its upcoming movie slate.
