Marvel Rivals has seen a massive surge in player count during its Season 1 launch, achieving a record high of 644,269 players on Steam. This marks a 34% increase over its previous launch record of 480,990 players.
The game briefly became the most-played title on Steam during off-hours of CS2, maintaining a spot in the Top 5 since launch.
Although the player count may peak again during weekends, Marvel Rivals is currently thriving with strong momentum.
On PlayStation, it ranks as the #4 most-played game, trailing only 2K25, Fortnite, and Call of Duty, while surpassing titles like Madden 25 and GTA 5. The Xbox player count lags behind, but it remains a Top 10 game.
The game’s performance on Twitch is also impressive, regularly competing with League of Legends for the top spot.
With a double-sized season offering four new heroes (including the Fantastic Four), three new maps, and a $10 battle pass with ten skins, Marvel Rivals is keeping the momentum high.
It’s being hailed as a potential rival to established titles like Overwatch, and its quick success places it alongside the likes of Valorant and Apex Legends.
The future looks promising for this new entry in the multiplayer PvP shooter space.
