Marvel Rivals Adds X-Men Characters Like Cyclops and Colossus in New Leak

Marvel Rivals is continuing to make waves with its record-breaking Season 1 launch, surpassing its expected release numbers.

However, with the launch of a new season patch, new characters have leaked through datamining.

These heroes, mostly from the X-Men universe, have been revealed by the reliable source XOXLEAK, who previously accurately predicted the arrival of the Fantastic Four.

The new characters include:

1. Cyclops – A fan-favorite and the leader of the X-Men, Cyclops is expected to be a Duelist in the game.
2. Professor X – The legendary X-Men leader might appear in his hover chair, offering mobility. He is expected to be a Strategist.
3. Colossus – The indestructible metal man is set to be a Vanguard/Tank, using his strength to absorb damage.
4. Jia Jing – A lesser-known character with insect-based mutant powers, Jia Jing will be a Strategist. Her inclusion is likely due to her popularity in China, where Rivals has a large player base.
5. Locus – A member of the Mutant Liberation Front, Locus has the ability to teleport anywhere she’s been before. She will also be a Strategist, potentially with a “rewind” mechanic.
6. Trapster (Paste-Pot Pete) – A more obscure character, Paste-Pot Pete uses a paste gun to trap enemies. He will likely be a Duelist, similar to Overwatch’s Mei.

These six characters join a long list of leaked heroes, including Deadpool, Captain Marvel, Emma Frost, Phoenix (Jean Grey), Valkyrie, MODOK, Ultron, and Blade (who is almost guaranteed for Season 2).

While Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is already double-sized, players can expect two new heroes each season moving forward.

If all these leaked characters make it into the game, it could mean two more full years of content.

However, not all fans are excited about every leak, especially with characters like Paste-Pot Pete, who might not be as widely known or beloved as other Marvel figures.
