Popular YouTubers Mark Rober and MrBeast are joining forces again for a major charity project this summer. Their goal is to raise $40 million to help people in serious need.

Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer, shared the news during an interview on Dexerto’s Clickbaited show. He said this new campaign will be their third big project together, following the success of Team Trees and Team Seas. Those two efforts raised $20 million and $30 million to fight climate change and ocean pollution.

“This one is more focused on helping people directly,” Rober said. “We’re going to look to raise $40 million.”

For now, they are keeping the full details of the project secret. However, fans can expect another large-scale, global effort that brings in support from creators and donors worldwide.

Rober and MrBeast first worked together in 2019, back when both of their YouTube channels had only around three million subscribers. Since then, their friendship and joint campaigns have reached millions and raised tens of millions for good causes.

When asked about criticism aimed at MrBeast despite his charitable work, Rober responded, “It’s just a tax to be paid. Anyone who becomes famous will face backlash. You just get thick skin.”

Rober also said he enjoys working with other creators and mentioned past fun experiences with actors like Jack Black.

More information about the campaign is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
