Lisa, the superstar member of Blackpink, made her acting debut in the latest season of HBO’s The White Lotus, and she admitted to battling nerves on set.
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet at the Season 3 premiere held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, Lisa revealed her excitement about her first major acting role, despite initial nervousness.
“I don’t know what to feel right now. I’m just so excited. I can’t wait for all of you guys to watch this show,” she shared.
A Nerve-Wracking First Day
Lisa’s first day on set was memorable for its mix of nerves and excitement. She recalled the moment Mike White, the creator of The White Lotus, called “action,” leaving her frozen in place.
“I’m so nervous. I was sweating. I was like, ‘I can’t remember my lines.’ I blanked,” she admitted. However, she quickly found her stride with the support of her castmates.
A Supportive Set and Sharing Music
Lisa, who plays an employee at a Thailand-based luxury hotel, found a strong bond with her fellow actors.
She even shared her music with them, including her hit track “Rockstar” before it was released to the public. “We’re just sharing what we do,” she said, adding, “All of them are so supportive.”
Dreaming of an Action Role
While Lisa doesn’t currently have another acting project lined up, she did express interest in taking on an action movie.
“Could I play a ‘badass’ on screen?” she asked, hinting at her aspirations to star in an action vehicle in the future.
Her versatility as an artist is evident, and fans are eager to see what she does next on both the music and acting fronts.
