New leaks suggest that Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air will introduce a super-thin design while offering a 6.7-inch display, making it slightly smaller than the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max.
According to tipster @OreXda, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a 2796 x 1290 resolution screen, a 48MP main camera, a 12MP selfie camera, and 128GB base storage.
In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to have a higher resolution (2868 x 1320), multiple rear cameras, and a 256GB starting storage option. However, what truly sets the iPhone 17 Air apart is its ultra-thin 5.59mm design, making it one of the slimmest iPhones ever.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 17 Air will feature a single rear camera housed in a raised camera bar across the top, while the Pro models will maintain a raised module design.
Apple may position this device as a lightweight alternative to the heavier Pro Max, with next-gen battery technology potentially compensating for the slim form factor.
Apple is expected to officially unveil the iPhone 17 series in late 2025, with pricing details yet to be confirmed.
With the iPhone 16 Plus possibly being replaced by the iPhone 17 Air, Apple may be redefining its lineup for a new era of ultra-thin smartphones.
