Lady Gaga is diving deeper into the world of electronic music with her highly anticipated seventh album, LG7.
In a recent interview, she shared her excitement about working with renowned DJs and dance music producers, including the French electro icon Gesaffelstein.
“I loved collaborating with all the DJs and Gesaffelstein on my new album,” Gaga told the Los Angeles Times. “I loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music.”
Gaga, known for constantly reinventing her sound, is pushing boundaries once again with her exploration of industrial electronic sounds.
This follows the success of her 2020 album Chromatica, a cyberpunk-inspired journey through heartbreak and healing, which featured producers like Skrillex, Madeon, Axwell, and Boys Noize.
Gesaffelstein is an ideal collaborator for Gaga, especially after the release of his album GAMMA in March 2024. His unique approach to texture and sound mirrors Gaga’s own experimental style, making him a perfect fit for her evolving sound.
Gaga has confirmed that LG7 will be released in February 2025, just ahead of her highly anticipated headlining set at Coachella.
So far, she has released the albumโs lead single, “Disease“, a dark midtempo track, and “Die With a Smile“, a ballad featuring Bruno Mars that became the fastest song to reach a billion streams on Spotify.
