Rapper Kid Cudi gave shocking testimony in court during music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing trial. He claimed Diddy was involved in a break-in at his home and later set his car on fire after learning that Cudi was dating Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
According to Kid Cudi, the drama began in 2011 when Cassie called him early one morning in distress, saying Diddy had found out they were seeing each other. Fearing for her safety, Cudi picked her up and brought her to a hotel.
Later that day, Cudi received a phone call from one of Diddy’s assistants, Capricorn Clark. Clark claimed he had been kidnapped and forced to help Diddy break into Cudi’s house.
When Cudi returned home, he found signs of the break-in: security cameras had been moved, expensive gifts were opened, and his dog was locked in the bathroom. Cudi told the court that his dog was never the same after the incident.

After confronting Diddy by phone, Cudi said Diddy calmly replied, “I just want to talk,” and waited for him outside his home. Cudi refused and called the police.
A few weeks later, Cudi’s luxury Porsche was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail. He believed Diddy was behind the attack. When they met in person, Cudi said Diddy acted like a “Marvel supervillain,” remaining calm and denying involvement.
Cudi’s testimony adds more serious charges to the case, including arson and kidnapping, which support the prosecution’s claims of racketeering. Prosecutors are using multiple witness accounts, including from male escorts and former employees, to build their case.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team is trying to shift blame to Cassie Ventura, claiming she manipulated both Diddy and Cudi. Diddy’s attorney, Brian Steel, even suggested that DNA evidence collected from the break-in points to a woman, not Diddy.
This trial has already included strange details — from flavored baby oil and red lighting in hotel rooms to Diddy’s odd food habits, like putting applesauce on burgers. But Kid Cudi’s testimony may be the most explosive yet.
The trial continues.
