Kendrick Lamar Targets Album of the Year & Major Categories at Grammys

Kendrick Lamar has reportedly submitted a wide range of entries for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, seeking recognition for both his solo projects and high-profile collaborations.

According to industry sources, Lamar’s latest album GNX has been entered in three major categories: Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical).

His collaborations with SZA are also expected to be key contenders. Their single LUTHER has been submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Music Video. Another joint track, 30 FOR 30, is competing in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

Other submissions include TV OFF featuring Lefty Gunplay, which is up for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, and CHAINS & WHIPS with Clipse, submitted for Best Rap Performance.

Lamar’s collaborations with Playboi Carti are also in contention: GOOD CREDIT is competing in both Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, while BACKDOOR is entered for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

If nominated, Lamar could emerge as one of the most prominent artists at this year’s ceremony, continuing his long track record of Grammy recognition. He has previously won multiple awards, cementing his position as one of the most celebrated figures in modern hip-hop.

The Recording Academy will announce official Grammy nominations in the coming weeks.
