Kendrick Lamar was spotted filming the music video for his diss track “Not Like Us” in his hometown of Compton, California on Saturday.
The video shoot drew massive crowds of fans who gathered to watch Lamar rap the lyrics to the song, which was released on May 4 and is part of Lamar’s ongoing feud with fellow rapper Drake.
Lamar reportedly enlisted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to provide extra security for the video shoot to manage the large crowds.
“Not Like Us” has become West Coast anthem that features Lamar taking direct aim at Drake, rapping lyrics like “Headshot for the year, you better walk around like Daft Punk.” Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the music video, which Lamar has not yet announced.
The video shoot comes just days after Lamar delivered an electrifying performance of “Not Like Us” at his “Pop Out – Ken & Friends” concert in Inglewood, where he performed the diss track five times.
Lamar also added new lyrics to his song “Euphoria” to further diss Drake during the concert. With the release of the “Not Like Us” music video, Lamar is poised to continue his dominance in the rap game and solidify his status as the “King of the West Coast.” Fans are anxiously awaiting the visual accompaniment to Lamar’s hard-hitting diss track.
