Karl Urban has given fans a first glimpse of Billy Butcher in “The Boys” Season 5 with a new set photo. The actor shared a selfie on Instagram, showing him inside a vintage car with Butcher’s signature look and intense stare.
Captioned with Butcher’s catchphrase, “Oi …I’m on me way,” the photo comes as production continues on the final season, which began filming in November 2024.
Season 5 marks the planned conclusion of “The Boys,” a decision by showrunner Eric Kripke to ensure a deliberate and satisfying finale. The season follows the shocking events of Season 4, where Homelander took control of America.
Butcher, facing his most desperate challenge yet, has only months to live due to Temp V exposure and has lost both Ryan and his leadership of The Boys.
The final season features notable casting additions, including Daveed Diggs in an undisclosed role and Mason Dye as Bombsight. Jensen Ackles returns as Soldier Boy, and Jared Padalecki joins the cast, though his role remains a mystery.
While the main series concludes, “The Boys” universe will continue to expand. The spinoff “Gen V” enters its second season, and new series like “The Boys: Mexico” and “Vought Rising” are in development. Showrunner Kripke promises a “super big, apocalyptic” conclusion, aiming to deliver a satisfying end to the series.
“The Boys” Season 5 is set to premiere on Prime Video in 2026, promising an explosive conclusion to the hit superhero drama. What do you think will happen to Billy Butcher in the final season? Let us know in the comments!
