Kanye West Accused of Sexual Assault by Former Assistant Amid Wave of Rap Trials

A former assistant has accused rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West of serious sexual misconduct, according to a new report. The ex-employee claims Ye grabbed her genitals and forced her to perform oral sex during her time working for him.

The allegations have not yet resulted in formal charges, but they add to a growing list of legal issues facing high-profile figures in the hip-hop industry in 2025. Ye has not publicly responded to the claims.

These developments come as several major artists are also facing trials or criminal investigations, raising concerns about misconduct and accountability in the music industry.

Overview of Ongoing Legal Cases in Hip-Hop:

A$AP Rocky is facing trial for assault with a firearm related to a 2021 shooting involving A$AP Relli. He pleaded not guilty and his trial began in January 2025.

Kay Flock, charged under a federal RICO indictment, is accused of murder and attempted murder tied to gang activity. His trial began in March 2025.

Sean Kingston and his mother face federal wire fraud charges. They allegedly scammed luxury goods companies and pleaded not guilty in July 2024. Trial began in March 2025.

Soulja Boy is being sued in civil court for rape, kidnapping, and unpaid wages by a former employee who also claims she was in a relationship with him.

Tay-K is already serving a 55-year sentence and is now standing trial for a separate 2017 murder while he was on the run.

Diddy is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and related crimes. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

Cash Out is accused of leading a sex trafficking operation using his music label to recruit women. His trial began in June 2025.

OMB Bloodbath is facing federal charges for aiding violent gang crimes. She is in custody, with trial underway since July 7, 2025.

Young Buck faces charges of domestic assault and firearm possession from multiple incidents between 2020 and 2022.

Lil Durk is charged in a murder-for-hire plot connected to a deadly shooting in Beverly Hills. His trial was delayed to October 2025.

YNW Melly, after a mistrial, will face a second trial in September 2025 for a 2018 double murder. He also faces new witness tampering charges.

These cases highlight a significant year for criminal proceedings involving hip-hop figures, as courts weigh serious allegations ranging from fraud to murder.
