The Canadian pop star began teasing the release early Thursday by posting a video on social media that showed a billboard in New York City’s Times Square. The billboard displayed the album name and the full list of tracks. Other billboards appeared in cities worldwide, including Reykjavik, Iceland, which Bieber visited earlier this year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bieber has been working on the album throughout 2025, hosting jam sessions in Los Angeles with artists like Carter Lang, Eddie Benjamin, and DJ Tay James. He also recently shared a studio photo featuring his 10-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber.
Swag marks Bieber’s first studio album since 2021’s Justice. In 2023, he sold his music catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for over $200 million and parted ways with longtime manager Scooter Braun following reported financial disagreements related to the canceled Justice tour.
Bieber’s label, Def Jam, declined to comment further on the project.
