Blake Lively has taken her legal battle with Justin Baldoni to the next level. The actress has issued subpoenas to major phone carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, as well as tech companies AOL and Cloudflare. She is demanding phone records to back her claims against her former It Ends With Us co-star.
Lively’s legal team says they are seeking evidence to expose those who tried to damage her reputation. “Ms. Lively has initiated discovery that will expose the people, tactics, and methods that worked to destroy her reputation and family,” said her attorneys Esra Hudson and Michael Gottlieb.
At the center of this case is a dispute over online attacks and allegations of misconduct. Lively claims that Baldoni’s team worked with crisis PR experts to launch a smear campaign against her. This allegedly hurt her career and delayed the launch of a new product line in 2024.
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, dismissed Lively’s subpoenas as an extreme overreach. “They are asking for every single call, text, data log, and even real-time location information for the past 2.5 years,” he said. He called the request a “massive fishing expedition” that would not produce any proof of wrongdoing.
The legal fight has grown intense, with multiple lawsuits on both sides. Baldoni has sued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist for $400 million, claiming defamation and extortion. Meanwhile, Lively has accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation.
Both sides are preparing for a major trial in New York, set for March 29, 2026. As the battle continues, more evidence could come to light, and these subpoenas could play a key role in shaping the case.
