BTS' Jungkook and Jimin

All seven BTS members have returned to the K-pop brand reputation rankings after completing their mandatory military service. Jimin leads the June rankings, with Jungkook close behind, showing the group’s massive influence even without new music.

Jimin Takes the Top Spot

BTS member Jimin topped the June brand reputation rankings with a score of 6,301,075 points. This represents a massive 76.51% jump from his May ranking.

The highest-ranking phrases associated with Jimin were “Filter,” “ARMY,” and “Park Jimin.” Related keywords included “military discharge” and “donate.” His positive-to-negative analysis showed 94.04% positivity.

Jungkook Follows in Second Place

Fellow BTS member Jungkook ranked second with a brand index of 5,189,119 points, showing an 86.60% spike from the previous month. Jungkook enlisted in the military alongside Jimin and was discharged at the same time.

All BTS Members in Top 16

Five out of seven BTS members secured spots in the top 10 of the rankings:

  • Jin ranked 6th with 3,221,688 points
  • V (Kim Taehyung) ranked 7th with 2,517,299 points
  • J-Hope ranked 12th with 1,394,483 points
  • RM ranked 15th with 1,283,645 points
  • Suga ranked 16th with 1,218,910 points

The rankings were released just hours after Suga completed his public service and officially rejoined the group.

Other Top Performers

G-Dragon from BIGBANG ranked third with 4,521,564 points, boosted by his ongoing “Übermensch” world tour. ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo followed in fourth place with 4,140,574 points.

Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon climbed to fifth place with 4,026,558 points, nearly an 80% increase from May due to his success in “Weak Hero Class 2.”

Impact on HYBE Stock

The return of BTS members caused HYBE’s previously declining stock to soar within days of the announcements. This demonstrates the significant financial impact of the group’s brand power.

Ranking Methodology

The Korean Business Research Institute compiled the rankings based on activity levels, consumer participation, media coverage, and community buzz. The study analyzed 755 active male K-pop idols.

Interestingly, while individual BTS members dominated the personal rankings, the group was recently edged out by SEVENTEEN in the group brand reputation rankings.

Military Service Complete

All seven BTS members have now completed their 18-month military service requirement. Their immediate return to the top of brand reputation rankings, even without releasing new music, shows their enduring popularity and influence in the K-pop industry.
