Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to feature major upgrades in display, thermal performance, and battery life, according to new leaks ahead of the company’s launch event next week.

The models are said to introduce displays with significantly higher brightness, making them easier to use under direct sunlight for extended periods. Current iPhone 16 Pro models reach a peak of 2,000 nits outdoors, but only for short bursts.

The iPhone 17 Pro is also rumored to adopt a redesigned thermal system, improving performance during demanding tasks such as high-frame-rate gaming and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second in hot outdoor conditions. Users can expect fewer frame drops and smoother performance overall.

Battery life is another highlight. The Pro Max version is reportedly equipped with a cell exceeding 5,000 mAh, making the iPhone 17 lineup Apple’s longest-lasting yet.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series at its “Awe Dropping” event on Tuesday, September 9.
