iOS 26 May Bring Glassy, VisionOS-Inspired Redesign

With just a week to go before WWDC 2025, Apple has updated its teaser for the event with a new tagline: “Sleek peek.” The phrase appears to hint at a long-rumored visual redesign for iOS 26 and Apple’s entire software lineup.

Apple initially used the tagline “On the horizon” for this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, but the new “Sleek peek” slogan clearly suggests a fresh design language is coming — likely inspired by the glassy, translucent aesthetics of visionOS.

At WWDC on June 9, Apple is expected to unveil iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26. This year marks a change in Apple’s naming strategy, shifting from version numbers like iOS 17 to year-based names to bring more consistency across platforms.

The anticipated redesign will introduce new icons, transparency effects, smoother navigation, and UI elements borrowed from visionOS. The update is expected to unify Apple’s look and feel across devices, offering a more seamless and modern user experience.

Apple describes WWDC 2025 as “a week of technology and creativity,” and like in past years, the event will be free and fully online for developers and users worldwide.
