iOS 18.2 introduces a handy new feature called Volume Limit, designed to help users manage the volume of their iPhone’s speaker for media playback.

In iOS 18.2, Apple has added a new feature called Volume Limit, which allows users to set a maximum volume for their iPhone speaker.

This feature is especially useful for those who want to limit exposure to loud sounds, such as when listening to music or watching videos.

The Volume Limit can be adjusted between 20% and 90%, and it applies to media playback, but not phone calls, notifications, or alerts.

This update is particularly beneficial for users concerned about hearing loss, as it adds another layer of protection.

The feature can be accessed in the Sound & Haptics menu under Settings.

Additionally, the iPhone’s Headphone Safety feature continues to offer protection for AirPods users by reducing loud sounds during media playback.
