Invincible Creator Reveals Why GTA 6’s Huge Budget Affects His Game

Robert Kirkman, creator of the comic series Invincible, revealed that the new Invincible VS video game will be a fighting game.

He said this is because making open-world games like Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) costs too much.

Kirkman joked that the budget for GTA 6 is “like three Trey Parker and Matt Stone deals.” (Parker and Stone are the creators of South Park, who signed a $1.5 billion deal.)

Rumors say GTA 6’s budget might be between $1 billion and $2 billion, making it one of the most expensive games ever.

Kirkman said fighting games are better for showing many characters from the Invincible universe. In open-world games, players mostly control one character.

He also said he loves fighting games, mentioning classics like Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. He thinks a fighting game will be more fun and satisfying for fans of Invincible.
