Instagram Adds Live Spotify Song Sharing in Notes

Instagram has launched a new feature that lets users share what they’re listening to on Spotify in real time through Notes, the short text updates seen above DMs.

Unlike traditional music sharing, this feature updates automatically to show the current song and artist as you listen on Spotify.

This update expands Instagram’s partnership with Spotify, which started last year with the “Add to Spotify” button.

Alongside this, Instagram confirmed that a long-awaited feature—profile grid reordering—is coming soon. This will allow users to manually rearrange their posts on their profile, helping them create the perfect feed regardless of when posts were made.

These features are part of Instagram’s ongoing “Anyway” campaign, aimed at reducing social pressure and encouraging creativity.

Instagram is also working on a dedicated iPad app, a feature iPad users have been requesting for years. As Meta continues to expand Instagram’s reach, these updates mark a major step toward giving users more control and flexibility.
