The album’s title is a nod to Ice Spice’s birthday on January 1, 2000 – the date of the infamous Y2K scare. In a recent interview, the rising rapper shared that the title also reflects the nostalgic, early 2000s-inspired sound she’s cultivated on the project.

Y2K! Features and Collaborations

In addition to the Central Cee collab, ‘Y2K!’ boasts high-profile features from Travis Scott on “Oh Shhh…” and Gunna on “B*tch I’m Packin'”. Ice Spice also teased a “crazy collaboration” on the album, though the identity of the featured artist remains under wraps.

The album artwork depicts Ice Spice standing in front of a New York City subway sign, a visual nod to her Bronx roots that have heavily influenced her unique style and sound.

‘Y2K!’ follows the success of Ice Spice’s 2023 EP ‘Like..?’, which included breakout hits like “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and her collaboration with PinkPantheress on “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2”.
