Huawei is developing the Pura 80 flagship series to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup. The Galaxy S25, launched recently, includes three models: Standard, Plus, and Ultra.
The Ultra variant offers the best hardware and software, with improved display, battery, chipset, and cooling features.
Huawei plans to release the Pura 80 series in Q2 2025. It will feature four models: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and Ultra (or an Art Edition).
The series is expected to include self-developed technology, including a 1-inch CMOS camera sensor for the Ultra model.
Huawei may also add advanced AI features and enhanced multi-spectral lenses for better color and low-light photography.
The Pura 80 series might use a higher-density 6000mAh battery, a notable upgrade over previous models.
Rumors suggest the series will also see slight improvements in Kirin 5G chip performance, though challenges remain due to ongoing sanctions.
Huawei’s Pura 80 aims to compete directly with the Galaxy S25. The smartphone rivalry will intensify as Huawei and Samsung release their flagship devices in 2025.
