Rockstar Games is celebrating the Lunar New Year in GTA Online with the addition of a new collectible: Yuanbao. Players can find 36 pieces scattered across Los Santos and San Andreas to earn cash, RP, and exclusive items.
Where to Find Yuanbao Collectibles
Yuanbao, modeled after historic Chinese gold and silver currency, is spread across the game map.
Most pieces are concentrated in Los Santos and Vinewood, but you’ll also need to venture to Paleto Bay and Sandy Shores.
When near a piece, a sound cue will help guide you. Alternatively, you can use the collectible scanner on the Terrorbyte for assistance.
Rewards for Collecting Yuanbao
Each Yuanbao piece grants $888 and 888 RP, symbolizing the lucky number 8 in Chinese culture.
Collecting all 36 pieces rewards an additional $88,888, bringing the total to $119,968 and 31,968 RP. Completing the collection also unlocks the Gold Snake Santo Capra Outfit.
Bonus Lunar New Year Rewards
Logging into GTA Online during the event provides additional free items, including the Black Snake Yogarishima Outfit, Red Serpent Leather Jacket, Snake Soul Pendant, Snake King Pendant, Red Snake Soul Cap, and Gray Snake King Cap.
