Rockstar Games has announced a new update for GTA Online called Money Fronts, launching on June 17, 2025. This update brings three new businesses that players can buy to help grow their criminal empires.
Players can now purchase properties like Hands On Car Wash, Smoke on the Water Prescription Cannabis, and Higgins Helitours. These businesses act as “fronts,” meaning they look legal but actually help players clean their illegal money behind the scenes.
Players will need to manage these businesses to avoid police attention. If things get too risky, the money-laundering process will slow down until you cool things off by playing the role of a regular small business owner.
Fans have already compared the update to Breaking Bad—but without the meth. Like Walter White’s famous car wash, you’ll now run legal-looking shops that help hide your criminal earnings.
Working with Martin Madrazo, a familiar face in GTA Online, players will get passive income while building up their empire. The update focuses more on slow, steady income instead of big heists.
Besides new businesses, Money Fronts also adds quality-of-life improvements. Fifty vehicles will now have Missile Lock-On Jammers, making it harder for griefers to ruin missions. Annoying Boxville Van missions are gone from biker sell jobs, and players can skip more cutscenes, including some in the Dr. Dre Contract missions.
Players will also get new police-related content, including the Summer Highway Patrol outfit and the Western Police Bike, bringing fresh gear for fans of police roleplay.
GTA Online continues to grow even with GTA 6 coming next year. Money Fronts might be the start of bigger changes before GTA’s next chapter arrives.
