GTA Online’s Money Fronts Update Makes Solo Players Rich with Breaking Bad-Style Car Wash

GTA Online has launched its Money Fronts update, featuring a money laundering car wash business that gives solo players their best way to earn cash in the game’s 12-year history.

The update allows players to buy a car wash for $1 million and launder money through it, similar to Walter White’s operation in Breaking Bad. Martin Madrazzo helps set up the business, which unlocks three types of missions players can complete alone.

Players can earn $35,000 to $70,000 per money laundering mission, with each taking less than 10 minutes. These missions don’t require loading screens between jobs, allowing players to quickly repeat them. One player reported earning $500,000 in just 90 minutes.

The car wash generates $10,000 daily in passive income, but the real money comes from active missions. Players steal cars containing dirty cash, raid rival operations, and occasionally wash legitimate cars to avoid police suspicion.

After earning enough money, players can expand by purchasing two additional businesses: Smoke on the Water ($850,000) and Higgins Heliotours ($900,000). These unlock new mission types like recovering helicopters and burning rival weed farms.

The update works perfectly for solo players because all missions can be completed alone in invite-only lobbies. This solves a longtime problem where players needed multiple friends to complete profitable missions, especially since GTA Online lacks cross-platform play.

While the update focuses heavily on solo play, it offers less content for groups. Team missions pay less than solo operations, though some players enjoy the treasure hunt-style objectives. PvP players can also camp at the new business locations to ambush other players.

New players should start with Money Fronts since it requires active participation and pays well without needing friends online. The update shows Rockstar’s commitment to improving the solo player experience after years of group-focused content.
