As anticipation for GTA 6 continues to grow, a new window for the PC release has been revealed—though it appears that PC gamers will have to wait longer than their console counterparts.
What We Know About GTA 6 So Far
Official details on GTA 6 are still scarce, with Rockstar Games keeping most of the information under wraps.
However, the first and only trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come. The game will feature new characters, Jason and Lucia, in a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired adventure, set in the iconic Vice City.
Rockstar has confirmed a Fall 2025 release for the game on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, but the timeline for the PC version has remained unclear—until now.
PC Release Likely Set for Early 2026
According to a recent comment from Ronald van Veen, Vice President of Finance and IR at Corsair Gaming, the PC version of GTA 6 might be released as late as early 2026. During Corsair’s Q4 earnings call, van Veen said:
“GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we’ll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now [is that] it’s going to come out in the fall for console, and then early ’26 for PC.”
This statement was backed up by Corsair CEO Andy Paul, who agreed that the PC version of the game is likely still a year away.
What Does This Mean for PC Gamers?
If true, the delay in the PC version would follow a similar pattern seen with GTA V, which was released five months after its console debut.
While Rockstar has yet to confirm this timeline, it aligns with the previous release strategy for the franchise, leaving PC gamers waiting a little longer.
Until official confirmation comes from Rockstar or Take-Two, this remains speculative, so fans should take this news with caution.
