Rockstar Games could be hiding massive parts of the Grand Theft Auto VI map, according to fans analyzing past leaks and trailer footage.
While the official trailers have already confirmed that GTA 6 will feature Vice City and much of fictional “Leonida” — a stand-in for Florida — new fan theories suggest the full map could be far larger than what Rockstar has shown so far.
One Reddit user on the r/GTA6 subreddit pointed out that leaked development files mentioned several areas that haven’t yet appeared in the trailers. That includes possible new cities and islands, which fans believe might hint at locations inspired by Orlando or even parts of Latin America.
The working title for the game, “Project Americas,” also fuels speculation. Fans think it hints at a broader geographical scope, especially considering elements like drug trafficking and airplane travel shown in the second trailer.

“This has to mean something,” one fan wrote. “The scope might’ve been scaled back, but Rockstar is known for keeping surprises under wraps.”
Rockstar has done this before. In Red Dead Redemption 2, large areas like Mexico and Guarma were never shown in trailers but appeared in the final game. Players believe GTA 6 could follow the same strategy.
Still, not everyone is convinced. Some fans are urging others to keep expectations in check. While the map could be larger than shown, a return to Liberty City or other classic areas seems unlikely — at least for now.
With Rockstar staying quiet, players will have to wait for more reveals. But if history is anything to go by, the full GTA 6 world could be far bigger than we think.
